NOWeek Annual Event-Contest at the Restore!
Monday, April 2nd, 2007 NOWeek Annual Event
National Organizing Week is an annual event sponsored by Professional Organizers in Canada (POC). The goals are to give back to the community by supporting other non-profit organizations that can benefit from our organizing services; and to raise the Professional Organizers of Canada association profile – both locally and nationally. This event runs May 1 – 7.
The name of the contest is ReStorevation. The Prize is an area of your home renovated with recycled material from the ReStore and organized by Professional Organizers in Canada.
Anyone is eligible to enter the National Organizing Week Contest. You can fill out an entry form each time you visit the ReStore. There is a limit of 1 entry per visit. You do not have to purchase anything.
The contest starts April 1, 2007 and the draw takes place on May 1, 2007, the first day of National Organizing Week.
The rules of the contest are simple but will be rigorously enforced:
- The final choice of the renovation project will be made in strict consultation with a Professional Organizer in Canada member, Patti Smith, and the manager of the ReStore, Carol Potter
- The winner must make all the final decisions as to which improvements they will undertake. All material must be chosen by the winner and approved by the ReStore manager.
- All materials must be provided by the ReStore. There will be no labour supplied on this renovation with material not provided by the ReStore.
- Each homeowner will have plenty of help. Our challenge will begin with a thorough assessment of the winner’s home. The assessment will be completed by Patti Smith, a trained Professional Organizer in Canada member and should take about 1 hour. The winner must find time to schedule the consultation before May 4, 2007.
- By entering this contest you agree to a before and after picture of the ReStorevation area to be displayed in the ReStore for all to see. The homeowners will be required, whenever possible, to recycle any material being removed from their home because of this project.
Once renovations are completed according to the schedule established, the winner is required to answer a questionnaire regarding the experience
