I wanted to sell my home but was told by family and friends that I should
consider reorganizing some areas and updating the surroundings. My house was set up for my liking but in order to sell I knew I would have to make some
changes. I am not very good at decorating or designing and have no desire to
learn, so I called on Patti from Show Offs and we did a going over with lots of
suggestions. I had some repainting done according to Patti’s suggestions and she brought in some new ideas. With a small budget in mind we (she) really made a difference! I love my cottage but had just no time to spend making it look it’s best. When Patti Smith of Show Offs offered to take things in hand with her decorating talents I jumped at the opportunity! I really wasn’t sure what to expect for the outcome. I didn’t give her much to go on – including a small budget – but kept my fingers crossed and my mind open.
What a transformation! I just couldn’t believe what she had done! It truly brought tears to my eyes. The best way to describe the feeling was like that of coming home after being away for a long time. It so perfectly matched our family. It was funky, yet functional. The colour tones and finishing touches created a warm and cozy feeling. She was able to tie in what we already had, mix it with new ideas, colours and updated looks. More importantly, we found it very functional and practical, giving a warm, earthy sophistication to the place. Now, a year later, it still looks as great as it did when Patti first did it. All the finishing touches – while very aesthetic – were also very practical and usable. It has stood up to the wear and tear of our family and friends.
